Very Important Pet Veterinary Services is a mobile veterinary service and has been proudly treating the animals of Seattle since 2022. The team consists of Dr. Quimbaya (who goes by Dr. Q for short) and Coral Rodriguez, LVT. They met in 2019 while working in an area clinic and have been treating animals together ever since. Dr. Q is a 2015 graduate of Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She also earned an AB, AM, and PhD from Harvard in various unrelated subjects. She is a lifelong learner and is dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest and greatest in veterinary medicine to ensure that your pet always gets top notch care. Dr. Q is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Coral is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras and Pima Medical Institute where she earned her veterinary technician degree in 2017. Coral is fluent in Spanish. Both Dr. Q and Coral are strong believers in gentle handling and listening to a patient's body cues. They are both currently working on their Fear Free certification.
We offer a low stress environment for your pets medical care-- your own home! We can perform a wide variety of laboratory tests in the home setting as well as vaccines, behavior consults, international and domestic health certificates microchipping, wellness exams, and cryosurgery. We are also available to assist with palliative care and end-of-life decision making.

Dr. Quimbaya is really the best vet out there. She is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also kind and compassionate. She cares for many dogs in our rescue and always goes above and beyond to ensure they receive the best care. She even goes out of her way to see our animals outside of business hours or on days off if the schedule gets too busy for a regularly scheduled visit. She is the person we call when we need advice or a second opinion and we trust her implicitly.

Dr. Q and Coral are the best. They have seen our dog and cat, and we just adopted a new cat that they will meet for the first time in mid-January. They always listen to our concerns no matter how small they might be (which is reassuring for any pet parent), and our pets love them. I can't recommend them enough!

I don't even know where to begin with how much I love this practice. I am an anxious dog mom with an anxious dog, and having Dr. Q & Coral come out to us is amazing. At normal vet offices, my dog shakes the entire time and pants from anxiety, but she wags her tail for Dr. Q & Coral and gets excited to see them.
We used them for general checkups and stuff until recently when the vet clinic we went to sometimes (because we needed an appointment asap for UTI but figured it would be easier to just do a nearby quick visit) caused extreme unnecessary panic about my pup's glucose that was low on a previous test (that was because it was not spun down quick enough and that can lower glucose). I was literally told by this other vet that it was a "pancreatic tumor or lab error". As someone with a lot of anxiety, this destroyed me, and when I reached out to Dr. Q, she responded quickly and calmed my nerves and gave me a bunch of next steps of things to check to rule out any issues. After talking with Dr. Q, I could actually stomach food for the first time in 2 days and breathe. I will never be able to thank this practice enough for how much they not only helped my dog, but helped me with her care, but I figured a review is a good place to start.
TL;DR this practice is the best out there. Amazing if you have anxiety and tend to worry over everything for your animal and need a vet that isn't an alarmist, but is extremely thorough and intelligent. Oh and they are extremely organized.
